  hi, just need to shout about something that happend today.

  went to my grandfather in law funeral today in a church of england church, my bro in laws g/f is becoming a witness so she said that she would go to funeral but couldnt join in prayers and hymns fair enough i thought.

  when we were seated she picked up the bible that was there for us and was making a show of reading something in it then turning to my bro in law and i could here her saying " they have translated it wrong" or something to that effect, then when the coffin was being brought in we all stood up which in my eyes was as a sign of respect to my grandad, she refused to stand up at any point apart from when we were leaving.

  Yep!..They acted like that at both my Mom's and Dad's funeral.

  And when my JW hubby died he had a memorial..I think they may have mentioned his name..oh yeah..they kept saying he had a nice smile!

  Now I have nothing to do with any JW's..His JW family and I do not see each other. His Mom talks to my oldest daughter once in a while to see how the family is.(.my daughter announced to them she is now a Catholic and very happy )..

  They all grouped together at my oldest Daughter's catholic wedding and snickered all the way through it. They also snickered and laughed at my parent's funeral. But my hubby worshiped his mom so I kept quiet!

  They really should have stayed home.

  My husband was convinced by his JW Mom that it was wrong to go to church and give his second daughter away at her wedding.So he didn't go.I went alone.....

  Nope..considerate they aren't.

  To the right of the pictures they had the dates of: Sat. Feb 28 at 8 A.M. and Sunday Feb. 29 at 2 A.M. I assume that is Eastern?

  I wonder if this is besides the Wed. date?

  Thanks everyone, Mom update

  thanks everyone for your warm wishes.

  after several hours in the er with blood tests and x-rays being done, they said mom has cellulitis in her right foot.

  she still is unable to walk, but they sent her home after giving her a shot of anit-biotic and prescriptions for more.

  I feel for you., taking care of a sick loved one is not easy. When my Dad was sick and dying..we moved in with him to take care of him.We lived in the country and he didn't want to move in with us.(Stubborn).But I knew when they get older they like familiar things.I was still working and I remember calling and checking on him at home. I had used all my sick days up and was very frustrated!..I could have had a family leave at no pay and and take a chance of not having the same job when I came back..

  I hope your Mom does good. Is that some sort of infection in the leg vein?

  My brother had something similiar but his leg vein would close up in spasms and cut off the blood supply to his toes!..He ended up losing his second toe.

  She should be up and walking soon if the anti's work.

  Marriage Advice...

  I loved your post. It was very realistic!

  More couples need to work on their relationships instead of just throwing them away and hooking up with someone else and new problems..it's not the problems..it's how to solve them..or make them better..'

  You had some very good advice. I just wanted to let you know.

  Golden girl..aka..Snoozy..(Wife to same husband for 45 years..)And he was a JW to boot!

  it's been one year ago this month that my dear hubby passed away... all on this board were so kind and loving..i just wanted to let you know i haven't forgotten your kindness!.

  my computor at home is broken and my daughter's husband is "someday..when he has time" going to install my new one!.

  in the mean time..i get to look up some of the posts when i babysit for the grandkids.... just wanted you all to know..you haven't been forgotten!...

  Boy..that question brings back memories.

  I knew a lady that my JW.MIL studied with and she and her daughter became a JW..then they worked on the husband and he eventually became a JW also.

  Well after many years..and thinking they were the perfect couple..he decided he was in love with another JW lady in their congregation.

  They got divorced..he was disfellowshipped..he married the new lady..and him and his new lady later got reinstated.

  He just traded his wife in for a newer model..

  Unfortunately his old JW wife got cancer and died within a year after their divorce...

  He and his new JW wife and his married daughter are still JW's as far as I know.

  But they don't talk very much.

  She never really forgave him for what he put her Mom through..

  Heartless SOB...

  He's probably an Elder again...
